Our Services
Same-Day Surgical Procedures
Same-day surgical procedures allow selected patients to undergo an approved operation or minor surgical intervention and return home without an overnight hospital stay.
At New Padre Garcia Hospital, every patient must first undergo an appropriate surgical consultation and pre-operative assessment. The surgeon reviews the patient’s condition, medical history, medicines, allergies, diagnostic results, and possible surgical risks before determining whether same-day treatment is suitable.
Following the procedure, the patient is monitored in a recovery area. Discharge is considered only when the patient is medically stable, has an appropriate recovery plan, and meets the requirements set by the surgical and anesthesia teams.
Not every patient or procedure qualifies for same-day discharge. Some patients may require extended observation or hospital admission.
