Post-Emergency Critical Care Support
After emergency stabilization, some patients require continued monitoring, treatment, and diagnostic assessment because their condition remains serious or at risk of worsening.
At New Padre Garcia Hospital, post-emergency support may include inpatient admission, oxygen therapy, intravenous treatment, medication administration, repeated vital-sign checks, laboratory testing, imaging, and recovery observation.
The healthcare team monitors whether the patient remains stable, responds to treatment, or requires a higher level of critical care.
Patients whose needs exceed the hospital’s available capabilities may be referred or transferred after appropriate stabilization.
