Imaging Support for Emergency Cases
Emergency imaging can provide doctors with important visual information when assessing serious injuries, sudden symptoms, and urgent medical conditions.
At New Padre Garcia Hospital, diagnostic imaging may be coordinated through the Emergency Department according to the attending doctor’s assessment, the patient’s condition, and equipment availability.
The emergency team first evaluates and stabilizes the patient as needed. The doctor then determines whether Digital X-ray, CT Scan, Ultrasound, or another available examination is medically appropriate.
Imaging priority is based on clinical urgency. Some patients may require treatment or stabilization before the examination can proceed.
